What does Medicare Cover?

Medicare Part A covers inpatient care at hospitals, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Hospice care.

It will also cover some outpatient home health care. Part A has no premium if you worked and paid Medicare taxes for at least 10 years.

Medicare Part B covers services from doctors and other health providers. Part B also covers outpatient care, home health care, durable medical equipment, and some preventative care. Part B has a monthly premium. That premium is currently $174.70 per month but may change due to your income.
